Coming in for a Landing

Last fall I rented a 600 mm lens for a weekend and headed to a farm field in Indiana to shoot some shots of SandHill Cranes on the way from Canada to Florida. That lens is a huge piece of glass, very heavy, but allows the photographer to shoot items in sharp views from very far away. These four chose to come our way as if they were coming in for a landing. Love the stacked set-up.
