Border Fence

It is hard to put a panorama in this format, but this is a view of the border fence as it looks in Brownsville, Texas. The Rio Grande and therefore Mexico, is just beyond that tree line. Strange to see if for the first time.

Detroit Nasty

The city may be bankrupt but the Detroit Tigers show a bit of the nasty on the way into the stadium. These tigers show quite the bite.

Going to be 75 degrees today. Excellent day to celebrate the color yellow. You can find reds and greens even in the winter. But yellow is definitely a spring color.

Can't take a bad picture of Times Square

You almost can't take a bad picture of Times Square at night. So much going on, it is overwhelming. But very colorful. 

NYC Essex House

Beautiful Essex House building right on the edge of Central Park in New York. Must be a beautiful view of the park from  those apartments.

NYC Blue Hour Skyline shot from Weehawken

Best time of the day to get landscape shots is often the "blue hour" or after the sunsets and before it is totally night out. The sky has some color and the city lights are up and glowing. Got that shot from my hotel windows last week in Weehawken, New Jersey, looking over the Hudson towards midtown.

Room with a View

The view of NYC out the window of my hotel in Weehawken over the Hudson River was quite spectacular. The Sheraton is situated right on the river with a perfect view of midtown and downtown Manhattan.

Orange is a friendly color

Not much to say. Saw orange. Shot it. At the M&M store in NYC.

Wasatch Mountain View

The west has the prettiest views. This is shot from a hotel in downtown Salt Lake from my trip there last year. I bet it was a tough winter but Salt Lake is a beautiful city to visit.

The World According to Brown

The world in early April this year is awash in brown. It is everywhere you look. While there is some green in this shot, mostly what you see is brown everywhere. Hard to shoot color in the world, when there isn't much of any around.
