Colorful street scene in New York City. One day, I am going to have to try to get up on that walkway to check out the view. Maybe after eating a 99 cent Jack-in-the-Box taco.

Las Vegas Street Scene

When you are looking for color, you can't help but find it on the Las Vegas strip. So, when you look for colors, you have to get out of the gambling joints and take a walk. Color is all around you.

Grand Central Station In Motion

Classic tourist shot of Grand Central Station in New York with a time lapse to give an impression how it really feels, with people generally rushing all over the place. Great building for photography. 

Reflective Head New York City

Weird view of the same head sculpture that we have in Chicago in Grant Park. It's called "Looking into my dreams, Awilda" by Barcelona artist, Jaume Plensa. This time the sculpture is inside a Hyatt Hotel right next to Penn Station in NYC. 

San Francisco AT&T Poll-to-Poll

San Francisco AT&T Ballpark Samsung Galaxy poll-to-poll shot. Got to attend a game last minute for a work event. Almost saw a perfect game, at least it was perfect until a double broke it up in the 7th. Still great game for the home team.

Yankee Stadium Poll to Poll

This is my third stadium in the 'poll-to-poll' series where I will attempt, over the years, to get a panoramic shot of every stadium in Major League Baseball. Yankee Stadium joins my home town favorite, the Chicago White Sox and the Cubs as one and two in the series.

Who says you need a fancy camera to get a tourist shot? Two Chicago icons with the Samsung Galaxy S4. It is an impressive camera phone. No post processing. 

Wrigley Field...Threatening

As a White Sox fan, I was forced under duress to take a client to a Cubs game earlier this week. Didn't look like the game was going to happen, but surprisingly enough, just a few sprinkles before the game and that was it. Nice to see Anthony Rizzo come back from injury to hit a walk-off home run. Even if you are not a fan, always good to see the home team win.

Buckhead Fountain

I've never been able to take a picture of a municipal water fountain that I have liked. I like the depth shown in this shot so whig not post it for Shot of the Day. Found this area in my Buckhead walk around in Atlanta.

Blue Steel....and Glass

I walked around Buckhead, which is an upscale area on the outskirts of Atlanta looking for shots to take on evening this past week. I commented to a local photographer that there was nothing in the area to float my boat, so to speak, but I found a few shots. Lots of chances to shoot reflection shots with all the big fancy buildings in Buckhead. So, here is my "Blue Steel" shot, although I still have trouble turing left. (Hope you get the reference.)

Not Feeling It, Buckhead

While at Photoshop World last week I insulted a famous photographer's hometown of Atlanta. I said that photography-wise, I didn't find a lot to photograph in the Buckhead area where I usually stay when traveling. So, this week, being in Atlanta I walked around Buckhead to see if I could find any shots...and I did. There are lots of big shinny buildings with great reflections to photograph. However, I still have to say that I don't get a good feel for Atlanta like I would for cities like Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Boston and the like. Now, to be fair, I rarely get a chance to go to downtown Atlanta and there might be some interesting areas to shoot down there. I bet there are some great historical areas and museums. However, I am usually stuck in Buckhead when traveling for work. So, while I really like the shot posted here with all the angles, colors and the flag, I still have to say, naa....I'm still not feeling it, Buckhead.

California Construction Set

Hopefully this California bridge is not one of those found to be substandard by the US Civil Corps of Engineers. Looks like one of those construction sets we got as kids.....

Reflections on San Francisco News

Saw this wonderful reflection on the floor but it was difficult to get a shot without any people in the scene. Waited a bit and got my chance.

Sacramento Capital....two views

Two views of the Sacramento capital building. One from up close and one from flying overhead. Just happened to look out the window of the plane and saw the Capital building coming on up. I was just there an hour or so ago.
