Petco Park a Lonely Place
When the teams are out of town, the stadium is quite lonely. They sure do light it up, however, team or no team. This is San Diego's Petco Park.

Hermosa Surfer
Shot this statue a bunch of times but keep going back at it to try something different. This is a more painterly take on the scene.

Storms a-brewing over the desert....
Got a window seat yesterday back from California and flew over Palm Springs and saw this massive storm cloud gathering. California needs the rain. Hope this gave them some relief.

I think the Hulk was trying to tell me something
I think the Hulk was saying, "I like you camera, bro". At least that is what I thought he said. From a photoshoot at Photoshop World.

Moose Peterson Chloride Model Shoot
I don't do many model shoots. Since I don't hire the models and usually I don't set the scene or pose the girls, I don't feel like they are my pictures. But I did get a few moments to work with this model and took the shot. I bleached it out and turned it into a fashion "high key" look just for fun. This was part of the Chloride Az, shoot with Moose Peterson who gave us all kind of tips on shooting landscapes and models as well.

Engagement Shoot--Brooke and Josh
I got an opportunity to do an engagement shoot with Brooke and Josh, walking and cabbing around Chicago while taking some pictures. Had lots of fun. Thanks also to Samantha Lueders for her excellent assistance.

Chloride, Az Corner Building Trick
Moose Peterson showed up a corner of a building trick. If you stand at the corner of a building with a wide angle lens and the sides are evenly lit, you get this odd angle effect of the building jutting out at you. Interesting effect.

Chloride Az, Old Car
When you hit a ghost town, you also come across some ghost cars. This car had lots of character and therefore was worth trying to photograph.

Chloride Gas Station
The Chloride, Az gas station looks like it hasn't been used in awhile. Hope you don't need gas when visiting. They call it a "living" ghost town as people do still live there.

Rock and Roll with Rebel Soul and Scott Kelby
The group shot (below) netted me a retweet from Scott Kelby and over 4,000 hits on my website (http://mdshotoftheday.com). Great time listening to Rebel Soul at Photoshop World 2015.

Bellevue Botanical Garden
What do you do when you get a meeting cancelled and you have an hour or so to kill? Stop by the local botanical garden, which is what I did in Bellevue, a suburb of Seattle. Got a nice shot of these Dhjlia Roodkapje, which is what came up when I typed "8 red petals and yellow center". Whatever the name, very colorful flowers.

Rolling Waves of Mountains
Hard to imagine anyone getting over these mountains. From the plane it looks like rolling waves of mountains breaking on the horizon.

Flying Home
I figured an early morning flight from Seattle to Chicago would catch some sunrise shots over the Rocky Mountains. So, I picked a winder seat versus my usual aside. I wasn't disappointed.

Portland Balloon Guy
Very busy background and I didn't feel like trying to get a set up shot. So, I thought of a cartoon picture when I took the picture. Now it looks more like a day in the park, which is what it was.

Portland Where Are Your From?
Pretty cool idea to put a pin to show where you came from to visit the Oregon Brewers Festival. Map had pins from all over the world. I think someone already got a pin in Naperville.
Michael thinks he is a Portlander now....

Portland's Human Wheel
It looks like a good workout by the quality of the six-pack and it doesn't look hard, but I bet I would crash face first on the first spin.

William At 7: Screen Shot
Today is William's 7th birthday. I took this shot a couple of weeks ago through the window screen while I was out in the backyard. He mostly runs away when I have my camera but I caught him before he knew I had the camera. Love this little guy. Happy Birthday, William.
