Pittsburg Koppers Building
When they built up Pittsburg, they did it up right. This is the lobby of the Koppers Building, built for a chemical company of all things way back in 1929. Very ornate. Mostly law firms today and a bank branch on the ground floor.

Pittsburg Yellow Chandelier
I have a bad habit of not checking my settings until after my first shot but this time it ended as a happy accident. This is an overexposed but ultimately very interesting shot of a chandelier in the lobby of the very ornate Frick Building in Pittsburg.

Steven Davern at Davern's 4th Anniversary Party
What a joy to have so many talents in the family. Stephen Davern and his band, The Pin Drop Theater celebrated my brother Joe's 4th anniversary party at Davern's Tavern last weekend. What an amazing band.

More....Signs of Spring from the Pac Northwest
Its been a pretty mild spring following a very mild winter, at least in all the places that I have visited so far this year. This sign of spring was from a couple of weeks ago in Portland with the trees starting to flower. No complaints about spring so far from me.....

Blast of color on the roof
Downtown Vegas puts on a light show every hour on the hour during the evening. After the 5 or 6th time, it is a bit much, but you get lots and lots of color--so, I have to shoot it. Wonderful splash of color to match the 1960's theme for the music.

Red Rocks Vegas
From Bill P's 60th Birthday trip. As one of our companions said, "You don't get to see something like this in Hyde Park". Right on.

Brothers in Arms, Always Together, Always Fighting
Not sure why the limbs were cut up high but you could barely fit a piece of paper between these two trees down low. Must have been and continues to be some battle to get to the light first.

Downtown from Mt. Tabor Park
Michael led me up Mount Tabor to get a look view of downtown Portland. A nice mile long uphill hike and worth it to get this rainy view of the city.

Marina del Ray Lighthouse
Don't know why photographers are suckers for lighthouses, but we are. This one has some color to it so I was doubly attracted to it. Got back from a day working in LA a couple of weeks ago in time for a bike ride near sunset. Turns out, that is the best time to shoot this lighthouse on the west coast.

Beautiful Western Fir Trees
Western evergreen fir trees are beautiful and smell like spring, especially when wet. In Portland, during one of the wettest springs ever, they did smell great.

Signs of Spring in the Pacific Northwest
It may have been overcast and a little rainy but signs of spring were all around in Portland this past week. While it is still 38 and a bit snowy in Chicago, spring is coming.
