Almost a Monet. If I could cut down the trees or get in the water and still get the reflection....oh, well. Just a big o' mess of fall color in Portland.

Do you not stay on the13th floor?

So, if you look closely, you will see there is no 13th floor (well, there is a 13th floor, but it is not noted as the 13th floor). If you are given a 13th floor room in a different building, do you not want to stay on that floor? I am curious because, come on people, this is the 21st century. Are we still superstitious about the number 13 so much so that we won't stay in a hotel with that floor? Some office buildings also do that. Just strange.

Really, really red room

When you see a room that red, you have to step in and shoot it. Even if it is a bar in the middle of the day. From a previous trip to Portland, Oregon.

Chargin Falls, brought to you by the number 8

It looked like they were promoting the number 8 in downtown Chargin Falls, Ohio, a very nice downtown to visit. Turns out it was for the 8th Chargin Falls Documentary Film Festival. Hope to visit again soon, maybe for the number 9!!!

Cleveland Pole-to-Pole

I attended a playoff game earlier in the week at Cleveland's Progressive Field with Cleveland beating New York in the first game of the series. While I have posted a pole-to-pole shot of this field previously from the lower section, I like this shot from up above better. Great stadium and good win by Cleveland over the hated New York Yankees.

Three Wonderful Grandkids

It is tough getting grandkids to sit still for a shot when you are a photographer as the kids start running when they see you coming with a camera. However, Lily, Clio and Echo all were up for a picture yesterday at Jono and Sam's wedding shower. Finally feel like I got a good shot of the three of them. Fun times and great grandkids!!!

Box Roses in October--that's not unusual

I can't say for sure but it did seem unusual yesterday to see our box roses flowering so late in the year. It has been a beautiful fall weather-wise in the midwest. A bit dry, however. It hasn't rained in a month or so.
