Strange Behavior and not so strange

 

I can't tell you if this is common or not but I did see this and photograph it last year. That's an American Goldfinch feeding a female House Finch. Two different species. One feeding the other. Sort of strange but also cool. Too much to say that there is hope for us as well?

It's been a few weeks since I last posted. Fell off the wagon as I haven't been shooting or traveling much (except for lots of grandkid shots). This shot is from last fall but the American Gold Finches are back in the backyard and I remembered this shot from last year taken in a prairie near the house. Interesting how the bird blends in very nicely with the background.
