New York City Street Corner. Apparently, I was on the corner of Lafayette and Prince once and looked up.

This is a different crop of a shot that I took back in 2008. I always liked this picture with all the colors and this crop brings a tighter view of the shot.

New York Penn Station

When you step out of Penn Station coming from somewhere else to New York City you just get hit with New York. The sights, the sounds, the cold (lately) and retail everywhere you look--even under bridges. Couldn't help but to bring the camera up and shoot away.

Praying for Spring

I hope this Indian from Starved Rock is praying to the gods for the end of winter. I hope so since I am tired of the cold. Got a dusting of snow today. Opening Day is less than a week away. Let's hope the offering works....

Bald Eagle In Flight

Lessoned learned this winter. It is tough getting a good shot of Bald Eagles in flight with only a 200mm lens. You need lens with much more photographic reach. So, got a touch lucky when this American Bald Eagle from Starved Rock flew a few hundred yards of the observation deck. Ended up with this hugely cropped shot but it worked.

Beijing 2009

Beijing was in the news this month with horrible accounts of air pollution. You can see it here from Stephi's and my trip in 2009. This is the square by the Water Cube in the Olympic Village. Wonderful architecture. Yellow skies.
