White-Throated Sparrow and Dark-eyed Junco

I am concentrating on colors this winter of no travel from pictures in my back catalog. But this little winter visitor has color to him. Hard to miss those yellow racing stripes along its forehead. I would have named this the Yellow Racing Striped Sparrow but the book says, White Throated Sparrow instead. Hello? Can't you see the yellow? That is the strongest identifier. Sparrows are tough. There are a lot of types and they are hard to identify. This one was easy. I also have some poses with the Dark-eye Junco, another winter visitor to the feeder. So, two birds that a year ago I never heard of before. Now they are in my backyard. Pretty cool.
