In 2011 I finally got outside of Las Vegas for a climb in the Red Rocks National Park in the Mojave Desert which is only 15 minutes from the strip. Have to visit this area again. Funny thing about the Red Rocks, is that the red colored sandstone are actually older than the yellow limestone but in many instances the older rock formation are found under the younger sandstone.
