The ultimate end point on one of the hikes in the Red Rock National Park near Las Vegas is to get to this pond, about an hour into the hike. Since I didn't know about this when I started the climb, I wasn't prepared to take a dip before heading back. They say you can see Las Vegas from the end point of this view, but I couldn't see a safe way around the pond so I didn't give it a try.
