Pelican's are surprisingly quick when they are feeding as they dive to catch a meal. However, right at the top of their arc, they pause for a moment and allow a lucky photographer to catch a shot. I was able to do that at sunset on the beach in Naples, Florida back in January 2012. This is shot number 10 in my Best Of collection.
